PROBLEM:
Portal site is slow to load on Vista workstations
SOLUTION:
Run the following to correct this performance issue:
- Close all instances of Internet Explorer.
- Click on the Start button in the Windows Task bar
- Type 'cmd' without quotes in the 'Start Search' text box.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+Enter
- Click on 'Continue' when Windows ask for permission to continue
- Type the following in the command window and press enter: netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=highlyrestricted
- Type exit and hit enter
- Start Internet Explorer again and access the portal site
