Welcome to N&K CPAs,  Inc, one of the largest locally owned certified public  accounting firms in  the State of Hawaii. The firm was founded in 1973 with  the partnership  of Sadao Nishihama and Glenn T. Kishida. Today, the  firm has over 60  personnel, including six principals.

There are five major divisions in the firm: Assurance Services, Tax Services, Management Consulting, Information Technology, and Administrative Services. Together, personnel in these divisions provide clients with a full range of services from the traditional audit, tax, and bookkeeping services to business and technology consulting. There is also an international department which services our foreign clients.

Alton K. Miyashiro

Alton K. Miyashiro

Alton was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and is a graduate of Iolani School. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and in 1979, he received his CPA certificate from the State of Hawaii. Alton joined the firm in 1989, and became a principal in 1991. Prior to joining N&K, Alton worked at several local and international accounting firms specializing in the area of taxation. Alton is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant.

In 2001, Alton was designated Managing Principal of the firm and is responsible for overseeing the management of all of the firm's operations.

Alton is a member of several organizations such as the American Institute of CPAs Tax Division, the Hawaii Society of CPAs, the United Okinawan Association of Hawaii (past Treasurer and Director), CPAmerica (Past Director), Zephyr Insurance Company, Inc. (past Director), Island Insurance company, Ltd. (Director), Island Holdings, Inc. (Director), Baseball in Paradise, Inc. (Officer and Director), US-Japan Council, and Ahahui Koa Anuenue (Board member).

In 2012, Alton received the Hall of Honor award from the University of Hawaii at Manoa Shidler College of Business.

In his free time, Alton enjoys golfing and UH sports.  He was previously very active with youth baseball and basketball.
