Alton K. Miyashiro

Alton received his degree in accounting from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. In 1979, he received his CPA certificate from the State of Hawaii. Alton was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and is a graduate of Iolani School.

Alton joined the firm in 1989, and became a principal in 1991. Prior to joining N&K, Alton worked at several international accounting firms specializing in the area of taxation.

In 2001, Alton was designated Managing Principal of the firm and is responsible for overseeing the management of all of the firm's operations including its culture initiatives.

Alton is a member of several organizations such as the American Institute of CPAs Tax Division, the Hawaii Society of CPAs, the United Okinawan Association of Hawaii (past Treasurer and Director), CPAmerica (Past Director), Zephyr Insurance Company, Inc. (past Director), Island Insurance (Director), and Baseball in Paradise, Inc. (Officer and Director).

In his free time, Alton coaches youth basketball and baseball and plays golf.
